Lori Yiu is a professional musician and educator based in Haarlem. She graduated from the Utrecht Conservatory and is currently active in several musical roles.

Being raised in the Netherlands with Asian parents, she started playing classical guitar at age of 6 until the teenage years where she decided to join local pop/rockbands. When she decided to grow serious as a musician, she learned music theory and got in conservatory where she learned arranging and conducting ensembles. This is where she discovered her deep connection with jazz. This makes Lori feel both at home in classical music as well as jazz, pop and even rockmusic.

As an instructor she makes sure the music lessons are designed to your needs. She prioritizes focusing on a healthy learning attitude and a good connection between teacher and student.

As a Performing Artist she is most known for her jazz vocals but you will spot her regularly on stage in other projects too as a piano or guitar accompaniment.
